Start here: working with Workfully

Understand how the Marketplace publishes opportunities, the two engagement models, what is expected, and where to find the terms that apply.

Use this guide to understand how recruiter assignments work on Workfully, choose the right model, and know what to check before you begin.

What the Marketplace is

The Marketplace is where Workfully publishes recruitment opportunities for recruiters. Currently, the opportunities available there use the Pay Per Hire model. Job Slot opportunities may also be published in the Marketplace in the future. Always check the opportunity details and applicable terms to understand which engagement model applies before accepting it.

The two engagement models

Pay Per Hire

Pay Per Hire roles are contingent assignments. You choose which available roles to apply for and earn the fee stated for a role only if a candidate validly attributed to you is hired.

Pay Per Hire roles are non-exclusive. More than one recruiter may work on the same role, and applying does not guarantee access, exclusivity, an interview, a hire or a fee.

Pay Per Hire is usually a good fit if you want flexibility, prefer to select individual roles, and are comfortable working on a success-fee basis.

Job Slots

A Job Slot is ongoing recruiting capacity for a client. One active Job Slot normally represents one role managed at a time. When a role is filled, closed or paused, the slot may be moved to another role in line with the applicable project terms.

Job Slot work is usually a closer, ongoing client relationship with recurring delivery expectations and regular communication. The assignment, capacity, duration, compensation and performance measures are confirmed in the applicable terms before work begins.

Job Slots are usually a good fit if you want recurring project work and can commit to consistent delivery across an account.

What applies to every assignment

Whichever model you use:

  • You work as an independent professional, not as an employee, agent or representative of Workfully or the client.

  • You can accept or decline an assignment before committing to it.

  • You must use the Workfully platform for candidate submissions, pipeline updates and other required activity.

  • You must have an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, the candidate's informed consent before sharing candidate data.

  • Client, role, candidate, pricing and other non-public information must be kept confidential.

  • Workfully client relationships introduced through the platform must stay within the Workfully relationship. Do not move client contact, candidates or recruitment work off-platform.

  • Fees, invoicing, payment timing, replacement obligations and assignment-specific targets are governed by the terms accepted for the relevant role or project.

Before you start an assignment

Confirm the following in the platform or assignment terms:

  • The role or Job Slot scope.

  • The compensation amount or fee calculation.

  • What makes a candidate submission valid.

  • Delivery targets and review periods.

  • Any replacement obligation.

  • The invoicing and payment process.

  • Who to contact when the brief, process or client situation changes.
